Overview

The Tactical Physio Foundations Course is built for clinicians and students who want more than a technique workshop. It's a structured clinical education designed to develop genuine competency in dry needling — grounded in the Radiculopathic Model of Orthopedics (RMO), a neuro-first reasoning framework that changes how you assess, treat, and think about musculoskeletal pain.
Where most courses teach treatment through a symptom-based lens, the RMO challenges that approach. Rather than chasing pain, it trains clinicians to identify the neurological and movement-based root contributors driving dysfunction — and to apply dry needling as part of a precise, repeatable clinical process built around that understanding.\n

Course Format

This course combines pre-course online learning with immersive in-person instruction, including lecture, demonstration, case integration, and hands-on laboratory practice.

Pre-Course Online Modules (9–11 hours)
Online content introduces the RMO clinical reasoning framework used throughout the course. Topics include:

Dry needling safety and clean needle technique
Patient selection, contraindications, and precautions
Regional anatomy and palpation accuracy
Orthopedic and neurological assessment through the RMO lens
Functional movement assessment, including the SFMA
Treatment dosage and clinical reasoning
The Assess → Treat → Verify model

In-Person Foundations Course
The live course shifts from concept to clinical application. Guided by RMO principles throughout, participants develop hands-on skill in:

Safe palpation, positioning, and needle handling
Region-specific dry needling techniques for the spine and extremities
50+ clinically relevant muscles and anatomical regions
Dermatomes, myotomes, reflex testing, and neurodynamics — core tools of the RMO assessment process
Hypermobility screening and movement assessment
Treatment dosage strategies
Integrating dry needling with movement, exercise, and rehabilitation planning

Online Video Library
All participants receive ongoing access to a curated video library featuring guided demonstrations and review videos for every muscle and technique covered in the course — a lasting resource for practice and refinement long after the live weekend.
